IWN Annual Lunch 2012
India Gary-Martin of J P Morgan hosted the annual Inspirational Women's Network lunch at their City Offices in London on 4th July 2012. Entitled 'Collaboration is the key', the event saw a panel of speakers including Phil Smith, CEO of Cisco UK & Ireland (pictured, near right); Independent London Mayoral Candidate, Siobhan Benita and Sally Dewar, Managing Director and Senior Member of Risk Team, J.P. Morgan.
Akademi, in association with Arts in Parliament, presented a dance spectacular entitled 'Maaya' at Westminster Hall, Houses of Parliament in London on Thursday 5th July 2012. With a vibrant cast including Gauri Tripathi and Priyadarsini Govind, 'Maaya' is the first South Asian dance ever to be performed in the Hall. The event was attended by Akademi Patron Lord Swraj Paul; the Indian High Commissioner to the UK H.E. Dr Jaimini Bhagwati and the deputy High Commissioner Dr Rajesh Prasad.
Social media measurement company PeerIndex hosted its first Digital Influencers Party for 200 guests on 19th July 2012 at the Bond Club in London to announce new perks for its influential acolytes. Founded by Azeem Azhar (pictured, far right) in 2009, PeerIndex, algorithmically maps out the social web to identify, rank and scores online authorities, helping individuals benefit from the social capital they have built up.
TLG Capital, founded in 2009 by Zain Latif, hosted its third anniversary party for investors, entrepreneurs and friends on 26th July at the Hotel Rafayel in London. The event also celebrated the Private Equity Africa award of 'Small Cap Deal of the Decade' for the company - which invests in frontier markets specifically sub-Saharan Africa - for its investment in Quality Chemicals.
