Women Empowered, the UK-based networking and support group co-founded by Reena Ranger and Mona Remtulla, held its second event on Wednesday 26th September 2012 in London, featuring inspirational stories from a range of women entrepreneurs including Sally Overhead, Founder of MOJOMUMS (pictured below); Kiran Sharma, Managing Director of KIKIT Ltd and Manager to singer Prince; Rupinder Virdee, Director of Revolution Creative Agency and brand ambassador Anjali Pathak (pictured centre left).

MITIE plc, the FTSE 250 listed strategic outsourcing services company, made its first investment in a start-up company at the MITIE Millions "Dragons Den" style pitching event on 28th May 2012. Investment sought varied from £100,000 to nearly £1 million from a panel of three judges including Ruby McGregor-Smith CBE, CEO of MITIE; Suzanne Baxter, Group Finance Director of MITIE and Chairman of Small Business Banking at RBS, Peter Ibbetson.
