The call parade is a popular candombe party that takes place every year in Montevideo in the month of February, during the Carnival season in Uruguay. It is part of the official contest of carnival groups of the Uruguayan capital. During two nights about 40 comparsas parade through streets of the neighborhoods South and Palermo. It constitutes one of the purest manifestations of Afro-Uruguayan culture.
