This category is a length category accumulated over the tournament hours. Aaron Gibbs, in his first serious tournament, came in 5th in the other species category and Nick Whyte rounded out the Top 10 for this category. During the tournament 11 barramundi over 1,000mm were landed with the biggest of 1,330mm going to Lou Moore. The biggest threadfin salmon was also a monster of 1,320mm landed by Evan Thompson. Speaking to the teams after the tournament we discovered that most of the barra caught by our teams were taken on the Zerek Live Cherabin 6”, while the threadfin salmon were regularly caught on the Zerek Fish Trap 110 and 95. Both lures were worked to fish imaged on the sounders and the advent of this technology was heralded as one of the main reasons for success. One of the highlights for us was to see the acceptance of the Mustad Fastach Clip, a clip that is quickly gaining the reputation as the best lure connecting clip on the market, and of course the growing acceptance of the Zerek range of lures. A great event, run by dedicated people with some seriously good outcomes. 7
