ACE FAM PRODUCTIONS
(A Classic Era Family)
ACEFAM’s Members live in either the east side of Las Vegas or the west side of Chicago. The group’s founder and leader, rapper 21 Pillz explained, “Our purpose is to make real music that we love & will stand the test of time. We’re bringing in a classic era!” They work collectively toward stardom, depending on travel and technology we make their system work.
ACEFAM consists of many members, but about 8 of the members are usually seen. “As soon as somebody yell’s "ACEFAAAAAM!" people start popping out of nowhere!” a laughing 21 Pillz explained. 21Pillz, born Jovan Miller, shared his vision with co-founder WALA in 2006 and the two brought the vision to life. When asked to explain why 21 Pillz embarked on the ACEFAM endeavor, his cohort Saint answered, “Because he (Pillz) was tired of hearing wack shit!” 21 Pillz again filled with laughter exclaimed, “Yeah that was a factor. I wanted to make music that I didn't hear on the radio and to give a platform to dope talented artists to do the same. Help them share their story to the world with my beats.”
Of the various ACEFAM members, 7 are actually performers; 21 Pillz, WALA, Sneak, King V, Saint, Jody, and Young O. Pillz, Vegas, WALA and Sneak are the key performers. The remaining members serve various other unique purposes, for instance; Fresh Heads Social Media and O.T. runs the Street Team. “They have both been the reason for our music getting to the ones who've been looking for it.”, Pillz explained.
Just like any individual artist, an ENT group has an audience, vision, purpose and a message.
REDD: What message does your group send to the community?
21Pillz: Bottom line our message is about self-empowerment. We are individuals who teamed up with the common goal of living in A Classic Era of not only music, but in life. We want it to be known you don't have to do what everybody else is doing, just do you. We are not trying to rot, but we are about “ROTS” and that's Recognizing & Overcoming The Struggle.
REDD: What does your group represent?
21Pillz: At the end of the day we all have our own mind & beliefs, yet together we represent the same thing, which is people of different struggles coming together as a team to progress and just do our best to make classic music.
REDD: Tell me about your ideal audience.
21 Pillz: I don't have a target age range or skin tone or whatever. If you have ears and an open mind, then my music is for you.
Sneak: My audience is the people in the streets and in the struggle so "Book of Fate" (Sneaks new mix tape) reflects all of that.
REDD: Where have you all performed?
21Pillz: Some of everywhere between Cali & NY but one of my favorite was at the Double Door in Chicago. We were on the same bill with the legendary DJ Quick.
A controversy exists within the music industry. Some listeners are not in agreement with recording artists and entertainers who don’t practice what they preach, or who sing/rap about things that are not true to their own (the artist’s) reality.

Chicago, Illinois is a city that is gorged with talented people all yearning for a chance at stardom. On the various music scenes exist producers, rappers, singers and businessmen all working toward a common goal. Amongst the massive faction of budding stars exists an entity that I personally view as the most noticeable breed of musical dream chasers, are music collectives that some refer to as Entertainment (ENT) Groups.
You may be familiar with The Young Money Millionaires (Rapper Lil Wayne) and G-Unit (50 Cent), just to name a couple of world renowned ENT groups. These music collectives don’t always have the best reputations. Well, Chicago has a unique brand of fresh young ENT’s and REDD Magazine has opened the door for one of them to speak their piece.
