He and I met through a mutual friend and I thought he was awesome! He was tall, funny, loved to dance, wrote poetry, good with kids, etc. Sounds great, right? WRONG! After a couple of months of dating, we were on the cusp of deciding which direction the relationship was going. (You know that awkward 'defining moment' phase between 'talking' and 'exclusively dating') While this was going on, slowly but surely I started to notice things about him that seemed a little 'off' but I decided to overlook it. Needless to say, I had a graduation trip planned to Miami with one of my girlfriends and while I was there...
It was 3:46AM when my phone rang! Yes, 3:46AM exactly! LOL I notice that it was him, so I answered it. He was CRYING loudly in the phone...completely threw me off! I immediately thought 'OMG, something must've happened with his child!' I repeatedly asked him what's wrong??! His response...
"She don’t want me no more!" (Between sobs and pants)
I replied....
'Who...?'
His response....
"__________"(insert a name OTHER THAN BRANDEE)
Ummm....Hello? Do you know who you called??? He said Oh SH&T! And hung up the phone. I remember looking at my friend and then I burst into laughter! I told her what had happened, and we both laughed the entire trip and dubbed him 'Crybaby'. I knew that once I returned to Chicago I was going to have a conversation with him, and I did. We met at a local restaurant to sit and discuss the call he'd made to me, to which all he could do was apologize. I accepted the apology but told him that any chance he had with me was OVER! His response...
