Recreation Opportunities around Town

Redcliff has free tennis courts, a BMX track, trails and soccer fields. The baseball diamonds are available to rent at a low cost! Lions Park Kitchen is available to rent for private functions in a beautiful park setting with a covered eating area, adjacent parking and lots of room for games and play!

Enjoy the serene and scenic recreational opportunities in the shade of cottonwood trees growing along the South Saskatchewan River at River Valley Park. Hike to the shale outcroppings at the east end of the park; there is plenty of wildlife, and if you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of elusive inhabitants such as coyotes, red foxes, porcupines, or scorpions on the cliffs. The river has several varieties of fish including the prehistoric looking Lake Sturgeon (special licences are required for sturgeon fishing). The park has a camp kitchen, picnic tables, fire pits and grassed, open spaces, and is open 7 am to 11 pm daily. Also, enjoy the various parks around Town, from restful areas to places where kids can burn off excess energy at one of the tot lots or playgrounds.
