321250- Live the Hula-Youth Beginning
ALOHA! Come and learn the heartbeat of the Hawaiian culture. Students will be enriched by the beauty and power of the hula and Hawaiian language and will learn something new every week. The art of hula dancing has been a long standing tradition in Hawai ' i and is the essence of what the local people call the " Aloha Spirit ". Students will learn basic movements and steps and progress to various songs both in ancient and modern styles of hula. This is an ongoing program with opportunities to perform and share what students have learned. So, E komo mai kakou! Welcome to you and LIVE THE HULA! The balance of $ 40.00 to be paid to the instructor at the first class. Each student will receive a study booklet and home study CD. Students should bring water, dress comfortably and be prepared to dance barefoot. As students progress costuming and dance implement fees will apply.
