Although the company officially came
to life in 1999, the idea began as a

“We distribute our products to tribal-owned casino resorts”, says Monica. “We’ve been doing this successfully since 1999, [we] have

Sky.” In starting the business, their
focus was not so much on profit, but
on economic unity in Indian country.
“We would like to see Native-owned
businesses profit and succeed.” They
stress the importance of buying Native
goods and supporting Native-owned
businesses everywhere. Sister Sky
leads by example. They have shared
their experiences with Native-owned
businesses and in doing so, have
been honored with the Spokane Enterpreneur Leadership Award.
Monica’s advice to you is to “be
really dedicated and determined in
whatever your dream is and follow
through. Be focused and committed
[as well as] patient. Know in your
heart your dream and be really dedicated [to it].”
