MADDIE It’ s just that its the same thing over and over again. I’ m always stable. Doesn’ t that mean I shouldn’ t have to take these tests anymore?
JACK Once you’ re better you won’ t have to take these tests ever again Maddie. I promise!
MADDIE( smiles up at him and hugs him again)
JACK Now I better get back to the bridge and help Mason with those scans.( sets Maddie down on the ground) He’ s been at it all night. Make sure you keep up with your studies Maddie.
JACK turns and walks out of the room. MADDIE has a sad look on her face.
INT. BRIDGE- EARLY AFTERNOON JACK walks back onto the bridge.
JACK Okay, now that that’ s over we can get onto the real business at hand.
MASON How is she?
JACK She’ s fine. No changes.
MASON Jack, you know maybe that thing has just gone dormant or something you know? Maybe it’ s not even a threat anymore.
