Much fancier than the one on Ingersoll, this pub has a rooftop and a huge bar area; it was recently voted as the best bar in the state of Iowa by several websites including Buzzfeed.

You will find the widest selection of beer in Des Moines at very reasonable prices here. It's definitely better during the warm months!
02. Johnny's Hall of Fame (Court Ave)
This is a cool sports bar with pool tables, shuffleboard, and free popcorn. This is where many people go before heading to other bars on Court Avenue.

Probably the best bar in downtown Des Moines, if not the most popular for DMU students outside of Wellman's on Ingersoll, the prices for drinks change throughout the night just like the stock exchange

This late-night restaurant is just a great place to get great pizza after a night out, but the pizza is amazing, and you can also order a lot of crazy sweet drinks to top it off
