Add the flour with the baking powder , the vanilla and the grated lemon peel .
Incorporate the whipped eggs whites . Add the apples and pour the mixture in the cake pan , lined with paper oven .
Cover the cake with the remaining apples slices and sprinkle with brown sugar . Bake in a preheated oven for 40 minutes at 180 degrees . Let the cake cool before serving .
