We were gatherers instead of hunters because we were not deemed strong enough to hunt with the men. Women could not join the United States military until the early 1900s. Women could not vote in any kind of election whatsoever until 1920, which was less than one hundred years ago and even in our modern America; women make seventy-nine cents on the dollar compared to their male counterparts in the working world. Although women have made huge leaps and bounds over the years, we remain grossly underrepresented at leading institutions and top levels around the world. Every woman in the world is powerful, whether she knows it or not. Being women on the rise, we need to begin to not only encourage the strong and beautiful women around us, but also lift up ourselves for our own courage and brilliance.
