Regardless of what brand you choose, the
ultimate goal is to be smart when purchasing
makeup. Price shouldn’t be the deciding factor
over quality, although makeup products that
are more costly can provide a bolder effect in
color. This is due to the various base
ingredients that can be found in cosmetics
which are fragrances, fillers, emollients,
moisturizers, minerals, binders, preservatives,
and sunscreens.
Our skin, hair and nails change along with the
seasons. A lot of products we have at home
can be used to create DIY recipes to maintain
their appearance and care. You can research
these recipes from different internet sites or
books. Find what inspires you and reinvent
your hair, nail and skin care regimen. Don’t
forget to try and target those problem areas
such as dark circles that form around the eyes,
wrinkles, and dry lips. Also seek out products
that help with antiaging.
Finally, if you are buying products for your
family, remember to buy in bulk. Teach each
family member how to be resourceful when
using the products. Also remember to
purchase items that benefit their particular skin
type and condition. The fact that you are family
doesn’t make it a given that your skin and hair
types are the same. Make good use of
coupons and always search for deals. Before
checking out at the store, ask the cashier if
there are any sales promotions or discounts
that come along with your purchase.
Lucky for us, there are countless makeup, nail
and hair care brands so no one has to know
whether you’re wearing MAC or L’Oréal HIP!
