Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? These are questions we have all wondered about. Finding the answers are far more important than you may think. Understanding the answer to these questions can reveal secrets about your life that otherwise you might never see.
The face in the mirror that's so familiar to you and your acquaintances isn't you. It's simply the tent you dwell in. Your place of abode, the physical characteristics people relate to as you. Man is created in three parts: body, soul, and spirit. The soul is where the mind, will and emotions operate, (your personality). The spirit is the breath of God that gives life to the body. It is the spirit that has the ability to connect with God. Both reside in a body, which allows the soul to interact with the natural world.
The spirit speaks to the soul, which determines a course of action and then dictates to the body. The body does not make
decisions, nor does the spirit. It is the soul (heart) that determines the course of
your life. Sin can only be committed in the heart. The body is the instrument used to carry out the action. The real you is the soul (heart).

For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. Romans 14:7
This verse emphasizes the importance of community. We are all here to interact with and enrich the lives of each other. In order to minister to the needs of others, we have to touch their lives. That touch provides us the opportunity to make a difference. It has been said that in order to effect change in another person's life, it will require a minimum of seven touches (rule of seven). God has generously gifted his people in many ways. These talents and abilities can be utilized as ministry tools. They provide a medium for interacting with others and getting close enough to touch their lives with the love of God.
Everyone has a story each is different and unique. Some are happy, some sad, others a mixture of both. We have experienced joy, disappointment, success, and failure. But in each situation God has been working in our lives. So who are you, and what are you doing (while) here?
