They actually... WATCHED, RECORDED, and LAUGHED as a man drowned! What is wrong with that picture?

An Essay relating to the reporting of the teen boys who watched, recorded and laughed as a man drowned.

Although this could happen in any state in this country, or in many other nations, however for this essay of this matter, it happened in Florida. Florida has a long history of hurting People of Color in modern times. Remember the police told a civilian (Zimmerman) to stand down, and not follow a teenager (Trayvon Martin). The civilian ignored the directive and engaged an innocent teenager of no wrongdoing. The ultimate price for the "stocked" teenager was he was murdered. But, that wasn’t the only detestable act

that occurred. Just as horrid as the assassination itself, was the fact that the law/court system called the murderer innocent.

Sadly we live in a society that we have our values mixed up. Values today can be compared to that of a mirror…particularly a broken mirror. We are all figuratively selective in choosing the broken pieces of the broken mirror that we want to pick up or not. Little pieces (such as bigotry and racism) may hide the ugly side because people tend to run around addressing these issues, letting them go unresolved.
