figures and there are a lot of bad situations of negative news stories that dominate the media airwaves. the best, not Joe Blow.” The question: how is it we didn’t know, and now that we do know, how do we feel about our heroes? How come we didn’t know how awful someone was? Our vision of the action on the playing field, and the soft questions interviews hid flaws in the armor. People knew. Their coaches and related personnel and teammates, they knew; even the good ones with no flaws showing kept discreetness. Examples: The great Mickey Mantle was an all-out drunk who had to be sobered up to go out and hit home runs. Decades later, major league baseball knew about steroid use of its biggest stars for years. However breaking home run records in the droves was in, so baseball acted indifferent as it needed to get fans interested in baseball again after a strike. Some of the winningest college coaches have been involved in recruiting scandals, and suspected of turning their heads to boosters paying players on the side. The college is punished, but the coach is allowed to move on to another college or onto the pro’s. Majorly, it is the athlete bringing shame and court cases and heartbreak that we have to feel and witness. At an early stage of playing sports, many athletes have been hyped to believe they are Gods gifts to us all, and even more so women. The sexy game of men and women being charming, and respectful has turned into many young men having no idea of what charm and patience is. Young men fail to associate with women who have the same ideas of what they want, and even then, if a woman changes her mind and idea of what she wants, some men lose their heads. Some say it’s the music and the hiphop world that is harsh toward women. The lure of money can’t be denied as it can send both men and women down a path or corrupt mind games that can turn both men and women into using or abusing of each other. Then someone says stop, I want to stop, I want to call it an end and foulness can arise. Whatever it may be, all too often some form of police involvement, and charges and or legal issues follow, and sometimes large settlements. Sponsors pull away; administrations/teams/lawyers panic and take bad stances or make statements to only to have to come back and throw someone under the bus. Groups and mindsets who harbor certain agendas can protest, and call for boycotts and fight in social media. All negative from a bad night, bad decisions, ego tripping and victims that are revictimized by the courts of public opinions. Often boys from the time of high school, sometimes even as early as junior high, feel as if, “I’m a stud and women chase me and want me.” That attitude can carry over into college where more freedom can lead to sexual situations. Sometimes these boys in college find women for the low ball game of sex-sex-sex without respect for their minds, bodies and souls. For the young man, who has had his way, some carry on an aggression into their adult lives for lack of respect for women and themselves. Early on we have already given them a fan base and then…we hear on the news the starting linebacker for the UNIVERSITY of WE-WANT-to-WIN was charged with sexual misconduct. We are hearing reports that colleges are having problem with reporting the numbers of women who have been sexually assaulted, and that might be on purpose. Decades of women have been the victim of sexual assault, and many have had to live with fear and shame. Thanks to social media and too many stories coming forward, colleges are forced to make changes. Primal science VS the Soul, and the Soul Should Win No Excuses: He’s in the gym to increase his skills for as many hours as he’s in class, and or on the playing field. He’s lifting weights to be able to hand out punishment and to take it. He’s running wind sprints to become faster and running distance to have more endurance. He’s eating protein plus more protein, and then some more protein and he’s downing supplements. He may be taking or did take previously steroids or some type banned substance. He’s fit. He’s cut. He’s lean with muscle mass most men envy, and many women admire. He’s got an ego! His confidence slips into arrogance. He’s primed for sexual release. Primal science and the soul have a battle unlike anything on the playing field. Morality keeps most men in check, for there are no excuses for depraved behavior, but some fellows, act as if, they didn’t get the message. We read and hear about the circumstances. Add some liquor, and or drugs, add some flirtation where certain souls don’t understand limits, and understand no; add ex-sexual partners and new lovers; add a break-up and someone not accepting the break-up, and add jealousy or insecurities, add an augment or control freak attitude; add I want sex and I’m reading you right or wrong… add any of the above, and lets party, plus add the primal science mentioned above, and not be controlled by a moral soul…it equals one thing can lead to another and it’s all bad. Not to mention the one thing we can never understand is the criminal mind that will take from others what is not theirs. Onto the pro’s role models, they are not. We love the pro athlete photo-opt at the children’s hospitals. We appreciate that some athletes give back to their
