Editor's Note

Greetings
Time waits on no man. If you are like me you often think about how fast time seems to be going. Not only is the
sands of time quickly slipping through our hands so are people in our lives. As you all know we lost an icon on
June 3, 2016. The saying “float like a butterfly and sting like a bee” will be forever etched in our minds as the
phrase the great one, Muhammad Ali, coined. The one thing that we learned about Muhammad Ali is that he
stood his ground for what he believed in. No matter what the world thought he never wavered from that belief
regardless of what it cost him. This great man, at one time, was forced to give up his boxing career due to
standing firm in his beliefs.
Despite the fact that losing someone dear to your heart, whether you know them personally or not, is often
heart wrenching and we are often left to march on with the memories and the spirit of that person.
Muhammad Ali was a man that stood for something and regardless of how people felt about his beliefs he
stood by those beliefs. This is what we as a people have to do. We must be brave enough to not only talk about
the matters that people want to hear but more importantly talk about ALL the matters that people need to
hear. Men…we have a habit of being stubborn and not wanting to talk about important matters such as
physical and mental health, financial struggles, and relationship issues. We have to adopt the heart and
courage of Muhammad Ali and face the issues that men face.
The well-versed contributors of Men of Faith Magazine all write with that same spirit that made Muhammad Ali
so great. We write with pride. We write with the understanding that there is so much that needs to be shared to
support the brotherhood of men. We write with the understanding that men need to be able to do more in
order to help rectify the issues that continue to plague our communities. Within the pages of our magazine we
strive to reach men in a way that will educate, uplift, motivate, and inspire. From inspiration, to entertainment,
to sports, to politics, to business, to mental health, and everything in between…we delve into matters meant to
feed the mind and soul of men. Our mission…is to address an array of topics that men not only want to hear
about but also need to hear about.
