It took me realizing that if I didnt stop the madness of addiction, I would either end up dead or in jail. I also knew that the addiction was controlling my actions with my family and I finally reached a point that I refused to be controlled by a pill.
What have you learned from your Bulletproof experiences that you can now pass on to help others?
Never give up on yourself and always remember that no matter how bad your struggle is at that time you are experiencing it, if you keep pushing yourself forward, you can always overcome.
How has your family and loved ones responded to you being out with your story?
To be honest, they all were quite surprised. I have always been a very private person and have been able to hide the disorder from everyone. when I decided to publish my story, it was the first time any of my family actually understood that I experienced a life of chaos and mental disorder. They are all very supportive of my decision to become a mental health advocate.
What’s new in your racing career?
There is so much to talk about when it comes to my racing… I am still a Pro driver in the Lucas Oil Off Road Series as well as the Best In The Desert and the plan for 2017 is too Win Win Win.
Any plans to take your story to television?
Eventually one day I will want too do something with film, but as of now, I am content spreading my message and bringing awareness to Mental Health.
