Pie Dough
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
Pinch salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon lemon zest
1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter
3-4 tablespoons ice water
In the bowl of a food processor, combine flour, salt, sugar, and
butter. Pulse until mixture resembles coarse meal. Slowly add
water and pulse until dough just holds together when pressed
between your fingers. If dough is too dry, add more water 1
teaspoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Remove dough from bowl, form into a disk and wrap in plastic.
Chill dough for about 30 minutes before using.
Whipped Cream
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/3 cup confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
In a mixer with the whisk attachment beat cream, sugar and
vanilla until medium to stiff peaks form.
