For Keon Aldrich, real estate has never simply been about selling houses. It has been about serving people, strengthening communities, advocating for homeownership and helping elevate the profession she has grown to love.
That commitment was recognized in a special way when Aldrich was named the 2026 South Carolina REALTORS ® REALTOR ® of the Year, one of the highest honors bestowed upon a REALTOR ® in South Carolina.
The award recognizes far more than sales production. It honors leadership, professionalism, service to the REALTOR ® organization and a commitment to making a difference in the real estate industry and the community.
For those who have worked alongside Aldrich throughout her career, the recognition represents years of service that have often taken place outside the spotlight.
Aldrich has served the REALTOR ® organization at the local, state and national levels. Her leadership journey includes serving as President of the Pee Dee REALTORS ® and later holding numerous leadership positions with South Carolina REALTORS ® including Secretary, Treasurer and President-Elect before making history as the association ' s first Black President.
Her presidency was historic, but Aldrich has consistently emphasized that leadership is about much more than holding a title.
Throughout her service, she has worked to advocate for private property rights and homeownership, encourage REALTOR ® political involvement, mentor emerging leaders and help REALTORS ® better understand the value of their professional association.
She has also been a strong supporter of RPAC, the REALTORS ® Political Action Committee, and has been inducted into the RPAC Hall of Fame in recognition of her longtime commitment to REALTOR ® advocacy.
But perhaps one of the most meaningful parts of Aldrich ' s journey has been the relationships she has built along the way.
Colleagues who have served beside her frequently speak about her passion for the REALTOR ® organization, her willingness to encourage others and her desire to see the people around her succeed. Whether she is sitting in a boardroom, speaking with elected officials, mentoring another REALTOR ® or working with buyers and sellers, relationships remain at the center of her approach to leadership. That same philosophy carries into her real estate business in the Pee Dee.
Today, Aldrich serves as Team Lead of The Pee Dee Elite Team at LPT Realty, where she continues to work with buyers, sellers and real estate professionals throughout the region. Despite serving in leadership positions across South Carolina and nationally, she has remained deeply connected to the community where her real estate career began.
Her service also extends beyond the REALTOR ® organization through involvement with organizations and boards focused on housing, community development and improving the quality of life in the Pee Dee.
Being named REALTOR ® of the Year represents another milestone in what has already been a groundbreaking career, but Aldrich views the recognition as something larger than herself.
It represents the mentors who helped prepare her for leadership, the colleagues who trusted her to lead, the members who supported her along the way and the next generation of REALTORS ® who are discovering that there is a place for their voice at the table.
Aldrich has often said that some of the greatest rewards of leadership are found not in titles or recognition, but in the people met along the journey and the opportunity to leave an organization better than it was found.
The 2026 South Carolina REALTORS ® REALTOR ® of the Year Award is a celebration of that journey.
It recognizes a REALTOR ® from across the state of South Carolina who chose to get involved, continued to show up, accepted increasingly greater opportunities to serve and ultimately made history along the way.
And while the award may carry Keon Aldrich ' s name, the story behind it is one of service, relationships, representation and a genuine love for the REALTOR ® profession.
