I am so thrilled to be asked to contribute to the REJM on all things property styling and property preparation. To help get to know me better, I thought I would include a little more about who I am and what I love doing.

I am a nationally renowned expert on making money from property, helping property owners leverage their property when selling, renting or holding it. I am the CEO of Silk Home (a bricks and mortar home staging business in regional NSW) and the Principal and Founder of the International Institute of Home Staging, author of the best-selling book Ignite Your Property Mojo, the founder of NaomiFindlay.com andI am lucky enough to produce and speak at the Australian Home Staging Symposium each year. I am a regular contributor to realestate.com.au, and am also a featured industry expert on RenoAddict.com along with Baz Dubois from the Living Room TV series and Jo Snell from the House Rules series.

I have been featured as a contributing author or a guest expert in various media, including Home Beautiful, Smart Property Investment, Australian Property Investor Magazine, News.com, The Daily Telegraph, Newcastle Morning Herald Newspaper, Interiors Addict, She Knows, Women’s Agenda, Dear September, and Sold Digital Blogs. As well as having the pleasure of mentoring other experts in the field, including design business owners Alisa and Lysandra Fraser after their first appearance on “The Block” on the Nine Network, as well as other noteworthy personalities in the field of home staging and real estate.

Along with this, I have a swag of over 20 personal large scale renovations for sale and working with over 300 properties per year and supporting many more clients online when they are looking to prepare their house for sale or valuation. As you can see I love all things property, renovation and pre sale styling!

Home staging or presale property styling is certainly an emerging and rapidly growing industry in Australia. It has been well accepted in the major capital cities in Australia for quite some time now, however the footprint of the industry is starting to spread regionally and even remotely in the past two years.

There is a surplus of statistics available from Canada and the USA on the efficacy and return on Investment when using home staging, but there has been a scarcity of Australian grown data until recently. I can share with you now that recent data collected by IIHS in Australia reveals that for every dollar invested in home staging the average return on investment is 20 fold, that is right $1 invested is averaging $20 return.
