Turning the Inner City
into a Construction Site
The City of Johannesburg Executive Mayor, Cllr Herman Mashaba, handed
over 55 properties on Thursday 3 October 2019 to private developers as
part of the inner city rejuvenation project. The award is the second largest
since the launch of this project, with properties that hold a total investment
value of 10 billion rand. This will contribute significantly to the City’s goal of
achieving at least 5% economic growth by 2021.
Turning the Inner City into a construction site is surely becoming a reality.
