eter Levett is the Managing Director of Old Mutual
Investment Group SA (OMIGSA) Property division.
Peter has been in the investment industry for over 22 years,
accumulating both local and international experience across
the board in banking, stocks, investment and now real estate.
Of these, 17 years has been with Old Mutual in South Africa
in various divisions within the company.
Peter seems to have the ‘Midas touch’ and has exceeded all expectations
in his career. His impressive credentials and track record often precede him.
As MD of Old Mutual Property Group, Peter is responsible for supervising
a property team of approximately 200 employees to grow Old Mutual’s
property assets and their impressive portfolio is now worth over $2 billion.
The major investments of Old Mutual Property include mainly retail and
industrial, with selected key office investments. This includes either full or
partial ownership in an impressive portfolio which includes:

As a member of the Executive Committee of OMIGSA, he is also involved
in the investment strategy and selected investment committees within
OMIGSA, in addition to being a Director of SA Corporate, a large SA
listed property company with R9 billion in assets.
Peter serves as a director on a number of boards of the Old Mutual
Group and Investec companies. He has been serving as a director in the J&J
Group board since November 2001. He is also a board member of Dibanisa
Fund Managers, a licensed discretionary investment manager specialising
in index tracking of local and international indices.
