Akbar Alli Hassim
Property developer and entrepreneur
Akbar Hassim is the Founder and Managing Director of Sandton based Residential Real Estate Development Company – FutureDev Properties.
Prior to forming Future- Dev Properties, Akbar was a Director of the Sandton based Civil Engineering Contracting Firm – Odoko, from 2007 to mid 2012. From 2012, FutureDev Properties have been involved in a number of Residential and Mixed Use Developments throughout South Africa, in various capacities and roles, the most prestigious being the Pearls of Umhlanga, which is the Largest Privately Developed Residential Development in South Africa at the moment, valued at just over R3 billion.
In 2015, the Partners took a decision to focus all their efforts in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg, i. e. Sandton, with a very distinct and clear geographical precinct, and product offering – becoming a leader in Full-Title, Free-Hold Residential Developments in the Residential Suburbs of Sandton.
They have established themselves not only as an independent, but also a Turnkey Developer- being able to buy land, finance the real estate deals, create, control and orchestrate the process of the development from beginning to end.
Warren Brusse
Investor, property developer and entrepreneur
Warren is a developer, investor, entrepreneur, coach and speaker who is passionate about property and believes is it the ideal vehicle for wealth creation. He has over seventeen years of experience in property development, investment and management in South Africa and the United Kingdom.
He is a professional property investor and currently the
Chief Executive Officer at Edge Dev, Co-Founder at SA Property Investors Network, Director at We Buy Your Home, Director at United Kingdom Property Partners, Director at Brusse Property Limited, Shareholder at Cleverprop. com and Property Coach and Speaker at Legacy Education Alliance.
Warren was the Real Estate Manager and Strategy Director for DHL Supply Chain. He was responsible for strategy alignment and business planning regarding real estate investments, development agreements and lease agreements. He was responsible for management of properties valued at more than R1,0 billion and property developments of more than R200 million. He was behind many of DHL Supply Chain flagship properties in South Africa.
Candice Schultz
Investor, entrepreneur and attorney
Candice Schultz is a qualified Attorney and practices as such at Schultz Inc.
Her entrée into property space began when Candice in her capacity as a trustee of a Property Trust assisted in the development management of the Pan African Shopping Centre in Alexandra. The centre has now become a flagship shopping centre in the township.
Candice Schultz is currently practicing for her own account in the commercial and property field whilst offering strategic advice to boards of several companies. Candice incorporated Schultz and Associates in early 2010 as a law firm focusing on property and commercial legal advisory services.
Candice is also a shareholder in a property investment company, which focuses on the acquisition of properties in the residential and commercial sector.
Understanding the need for any investor to have a global perspective, she has recently incorporated Prime Property Global which invests in offshore markets. Prime Property Global has undertaken several projects in Florida, USA, and is now also undertaking residential developments, by acquiring land and developing model units and selling them for a pre-determined development profit.
