Property investment opportunities available in Mozambique
W
hile it has its challenges, Mozambique’s
property market remains very attractive.
T he entrance of new developers is
bringing a larger and better variety of products to
the market, helping cater for demand, especially
stemming from those abroad, who have international
standards and big expectations.
Due to the continued growth of the energy sector in
Mozambique, especially with the discovery of big gas
reserves in the Cabo Delgado province, Pemba appears
to be one of the best locations in which to invest. The
lack of infrastructure and quality buildings creates the
potential with a ‘fresh canvas’ and large space for new
investors to come in and respond to the existing and
increasing demand.
Nacala, in the Nampula province, an area used for
the export of coal products, among other imports and
exports, is also a prime location for real estate investors.
Tete, the province which is home to the largest coal
operations in the country, also offers sound real estate
investment opportunities, despite the challenges
around international coal prices and issues around
transporting coal out
