Game
changers for
investors –
Technology
and Mindset
Technology is a game-changer for inves-
tors of property investment and property
professionals. The impact of online estate
agents, online property managers and apps
are changing the way people transact with
real estate.
The retail sector is leading the charge on
tech savvy interaction within malls. There
are few places where people will be able
to connect to the digital world in more
ways than in the mall of the future and
that future is already here, according to
SA Shopping Council. A visit to the mall
is already a more digital experience than
you may realise.

Buying real estate
is not only the
best way, the
quickest way, the
safest way, but
the only way to
become wealthy.

The latest innovations in fintech, prop-
tech, data analytics, artificial intelligence,
augmented reality, bluetooth beacons,
facial recognition and even number plate
scanning and utilities smart metering,
among others, are already being used in
shopping centres internationally and right
here in South Africa. It is, perhaps, ironic
that the very thing that was seen as the
death-kn ell for bricks-and-mortar retail,
is now driving it forward into an exciting
future.
The mindset game is also a critical success
factor of a real estate investor. Mindset is
gained through wisdom and wisdom is
gained through awareness. You pay for
your attention to acquire wisdom.
If you use scarcity vocabulary, it will be
nearly impossible for you to obtain real
wealth. Let’s run a little check on your
lexicon. Which of these are you most
likely to say or think to yourself? For
example, scarcity vocabulary: “I want
to be debt-free” versus abundance vo-
cabulary: “I want to be financially-free.”
Who got rich by retiring their bonds or
paying off their car? No one, ever. One
only acquires wealth by building many
durable passive income streams. In fact,
one often embraces “good debt” in or-
der to do this. Another scarcity state-
ment: “Live below your means” versus an
abundance statement: “Expand your
means.”
Therefore, those who arm themselves with
the right knowledge and who train their
mindset to serve themselves, will be the
ones who go on to produce massive results.
By having the right mindset going into
your business and investing will put you
ahead of the majority of your competition
who does not focus on building them-
selves up daily.
