landmark property deal when a German Couple
bought a Bantry Bay home for a record price
of R290 million, with a Porsche Cayenne and
an Aston Martin DB9 thrown into the deal. The
record sale was made by Dogon Property Group
estate agent Adrien Epstein, who described the
entire sale as “exciting”.

Recently listed Balwin Properties is piquing the
interest of investors in SA’s more than R400
billion-worth listed property sector. Balwin CEO
Stephen Brookes, who founded the company in
1996 said “Most analysts are still looking at us
a Reit (Real Estate Investment Trust) expecting
us to pay distributions and get yields.§”

ramifications of the Brexit vote on the SA
economy and property market remain unclear
