bland is a South African based property
development company. The company’s core
business is to provide a fully integrated
property development and management service.
Commercial, retail and industrial properties form part
of the company’s portfolio of services. It’s services are
built on the cornerstones of quality and commitment.
Under the guidance of MD Richard Cottrill, Abland
has continued to expand and become a respected name
in property development and operates in Johannesburg,
Pretoria and the Western Cape. The company is also
now expanding into Africa.
Abland first commenced trading in 1989 as the
development arm of the construction company Abcon.
Since then, Abland has established itself as a property
development company with a strong entrepreneurial
and independent spirit which it owes to the ethos of
private ownership and a hands-on approach from the
shareholders and staff at the company.
Some of it’s high profile projects include Sasol
Polymers Bryanston, JP Morgan Illovo, ABSA Call
Centre Auckland Park, Standard Bank Call Centre in
Constantia Roodepoort, Bowman Gilfillan Offices in
Sandton, and the Pick and Pay Distribution Centre in
Longmeadow.
Abland specialises in, and has been involved in, a
variety of types of commercial development including
office parks, retail centres, corporate offices, industrial
premises, warehousing, motor dealerships and motorcities.
The company has been responsible for many high
quality developments over the years. Some of it’s
flagship projects include the 22 Bree Street retail and
office development in Cape Town CBD; Centurion

Lifestyle Centre in Centurion; commercial offices in
Alice Lane, Sandton; Wonderboom Junction retail
centre in Pretoria and the new Audi Centre in Rivonia,
Sandton to mention but a few.
Projects currently in the pipeline include Rosebank
Towers (22,000m²); Loftus Park (40,000m²); Monte
Circle in Fourways (60,000m²); Westlake Industrial
(25,000m²); Sanlam Santam, Alice Lane (16,000m²);
Bowman Gilfillan, Alice Lane (35,000m²); Centurion
Chrysler Jeep Dodge (4,500m²) and Hazeldean
Regional Mall (over 100,000m2). Abland also has a
significant land-holding in South Africa, which will
provide opportunities for the future development of
over a million square metres of developable bulk.
