1 . What inspired you enter the property industry ? After completing my schooling , I embarked on a journey overseas that lasted for over two years . This experience significantly broadened my horizons . Despite growing up on a farm with a strong desire to continue farming , my perspective underwent a transformative shift .
At the age of 21 , upon my return home , I made an decision to join the family business , specializing in property sales . I had the privilege of working alongside my uncle , Dian , and his wife , Susan , during that year , and it was during this time that I acquired invaluable knowledge , from them both and from interactions with various people and clients . Looking back now , I realize that it was during this period that the dream of empowering people through property was conceived .
2 . Where did your journey to success start ? What were key milestones or challenges you faced along the way ? My journey in real estate began in 2002 , and by 2003 , I had already achieved recognition as one of the top 20 estate agents for Homenet in the Western Cape and also worked for Chas Everitt in 2004 . During this period , I started assembling projects for developers , and in 2003 , I successfully orchestrated my first project for a developer , selling 23 units in just three weeks .
In 2005 , I took a significant step by establishing my own business , fuelled by the dream of entering the property development arena . I initiated 11 projects , driven by ambition and a hunger for success . However , the global financial crisis in 2008 hit me with full force , leading to the unfortunate closure of my business . alyst s time with

The journey was a humbling one , marked by steep mountains and deep valleys . I faced an uphill battle and encountered harsh lessons along the way . Fortunately , I was blessed with unwavering support from my family , friends , partners , and mentors , who guided me through the storm towards recovery . I had a wise uncle David and mentor , Rickus and Gerhard that played a pivotal role in helping me navigate these challenging waters .
