In the beginning John was the original founder of the Rabie Property Group , who first started developing residential property back in 1978 . Over three and a half decades , he has successfully led his company through two major recessions , a change in political dispensation , a global financial melt-down , and then a pandemic while winning several national and international awards along the way .
SIGNATURA He pioneered public-private partnerships and was involved in significant mega-mixed-use developments in Cape Town including Marconi Beam , Westlake Estate , Royal Ascot in Milnerton , Big Bay , in Bloubergstrand and the advent of Century City . In 2019 he also launched his European development company called Neworld .
