Andrew Thompson ’ s journey into the real estate industry began humbly at The Knysna Protea Hotel , earning R280 per month . He spent his earnings on essentials , socialising , and saving for an African Safari before turning thirty .
As a young man , he had two main goals :
1 . To become the youngest Hotel GM in Southern Africa . To self-fund a year-long African adventure before turning 30 .
2 . While he didn ’ t achieve the first , he did become the General Manager of Cresta Thapama Lodge in Botswana at 26 and embarked on his African Safari 12 days before his 30th birthday , marking an unforgettable growth experience .
