5 . How do you envision the future of your industry , and what steps are you taking to stay ahead of emerging trends ? The Property sector will always remain a sunrise sector , however there are new technologies within the built environment . The industry needs to adapt to the realities of climate change and we need to be intentional in impact investing to shape liveable spaces and achieve sustainable development .
6 . Any key insights , knowledge or lessons that you gained that you would like to share ? Over the years I have learnt to make lemonade out of lemon and that sometimes failure is not a bad thing , that it builds resilience and tenacity . The greatest glory is not in never failing but in rising every time I fail . I also know that my career and success would be defined by what I said no to and not what I said yes to .
7 . If you have invested in real estate , include any investments you may have made and the most important lessons you learnt from the experience in your capacity as an investor ? I believe that you can never go wrong in real estate investment for as long as it is in the right location you are guaranteed sound financial returns . Early on in my career I had bought some IPO shares , and I am reaping those benefits now as those dividends sometimes come when you need the money the most . I have learnt not to be impulsive in my choice of investing . That I must do a thorough due diligence before I commit my money to any potential investment .
