What do you enjoy most about running your business ?
What excites me daily is the chance to make a real impact across the continent - whether revitalising properties , creating jobs , or shaping a lasting value , leaving a legacy , and transforming lives in meaningful ways .
What was your first pay cheque :
My first pay cheque was modest but taught me the value of hard work . I spent it wisely on essentials and saved the rest — lessons in discipline that I carry into business today . It also taught me to appreciate every milestone , no matter how small , as part of the larger journey .
Is there someone whose life or work you admire , and who has been a guiding influence in your life or career ?
I deeply admire my father , who , despite not completing matric , built a successful career as a tradesman and led a large engineering firm . He taught me the values of hard work , discipline , and honesty — principles that have shaped my leadership . His journey proves that with dedication and vision , remarkable things can happen .
I also respect our chairman and founder , Jonathan Broll , whose entrepreneurial spirit created this business 50 years ago . The company was built from humble beginnings - a single block of six flats in Parow South called Chas Bina Hof . His humility and vision have built a legacy that shows true success comes through hard work and perseverance .
