I am looking to work and start operating and setting up my business in Mauritius as one option , with a view to eventually invest in property in Mauritius and even retire if it really ticks all the boxes for me and my family . There are several options for obtaining residency in Mauritius and the one that will work best for you will depend on your personal and family circumstances .
Permanent Residency Permit A Permanent Residency permit can be acquired by a foreign investor who invests at least USD375,000 in a qualifying business activity . An exclusive 20-year residency is granted to ensure that the investor has time to settle and make the business productive in the long term .
A Permanent Residency permit can also be acquired by Investment in a Property Development Scheme ( PDS ) or a Smart City Scheme
