Our History With This Property
Crystal Bay Properties, LLC purchased the property in 1996 from the Levin family who ran the hotel as “Senior Getaways”. This was a business model where seniors would come to the hotel and stay for the winter months. Guest enjoyed meals, dancing, parties and tours. Crystal Bay Properties, LLC continued operations with a similar program, closing the property for the summer. In 2001 the hotel was purchased by AROC Development and operated as an “extended stay” hotel. Crystal Bay Properties, LLC held a first mortgage on the property. In 2007 the hotel was purchased by The Park View Hotel, and the first mortgage was assumed with that purchase. It was the intent of the purchasers was to renovate the property into a boutique hotel. They were able to get approximately 70% of the work done when they ran out of money. In June of 2012 Crystal Bay Properties, LLC acquired the title through foreclosure and worked on the structural aspects of the rehab (steel columns in the dining room, dining room floor and the steel staircase at the end of the southeast hallway etc…). At the present moment we are in the process of finishing up at the southeast end of the building. We are replacing any of the broken windows and will be getting “rough-in” electrical inspections for all floors. We are willing to sell the property, enter into a partnership or complete the project ourselves. Crystal Bay Properties, LLC has recently positioned itself to fund the renovations. Price adjustments will be made has the hotel is being completed. “The hotel supposedly hosted luminaries like Glenn Miller, Marilyn Monroe, Babe Ruth and Robert Kennedy”
