Healing a Cold or Flu With Acupuncture
Many times, I have clients call and apologiese that they can’t attend their appointment because they have come down with a cold or flu. So, I tell them that is the best time to come in and have a treatment to assist the release of pathogens* to help them heal.
Cold and flu symptoms do vary and most confuse the two. It is vital to know the difference between cold and flu symptoms. A cold is milder respiratory illness compared to the flu. They can both make you feel bad for a few days. But the flu can be more serious and result in other health issues that can lead to hospitalisation, such as pneumonia
Cold symptoms usually begin with a sore throat. This then follows with nasal symptoms such as feeling congested or a runny nose and can lead to a cough. Fever is not common in adults but can be seen in children in a mild way. If cold symptoms linger for more than a week then the cold can turn into a bacterial infection.
Flu symptoms are more severe than cold symptoms and can, come faster. Common flu symptoms are a sore throat, headaches, muscle aches with pain and congestion with a cough.
