READER'S ROCK LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE VOL 2 ISSUE 4 NOVEMBER 2014 VOL 2 ISSUE 3 OCTOBER 2014 | Page 14
October, the heart of autumn, is one of
my favorite times of the year. The leaves are
changing, the days are cooler, the sky feels
bluer, football and marching bands are back
in full swing, and of course there's
Halloween. (Chocolate anyone?)
As seasonal treats hit the shelves, we
make the most of it around here. Try this
great recipe that's one of our fall family
traditions: Mix equal parts salted, roasted
peanuts and candy corn for a sweet-salty
treat! Just beware… it's addictive!
It's so much fun writing novels - and
October is the perfect time to indulge in
books with a paranormal twist. In the
Matchmaker's Curse, a lighthearted
paranormal romance novel, each character
is wearing a mask of sorts. English professor
Maeve King, doesn't know about the magic
deep inside waiting for the right catalyst and
Grant Barclay, a werewolf, is hiding his inner
beast behind his handsome human face.

The Shadows of Justice novels and short
stories tend to go a little darker with kick-but t
heroines and the sexy heroes who fall in love
with them. Many of the characters in those
futuristic stories set in 2096 Chicago are
more than they seem at first glance, but
none is more mysterious than Slick Micky,
the notorious coffee smuggler.
