Escape with a Great Book!
I've always been a vivid dreamer. In 1980, one of
those dreams drove me to pull out a portable
typewriter and begin typing my first book. Did I
know what I was doing? Heavens no. That book
took nine years to write because I had to learn how
as I went along (that's the wrong way to go about it,
by the way). Today I'm trying to rework that novel in
the hope of seeing it published at last. Meanwhile, I
wrote another book, a romance, won a contest,
entered the Golden Heart Contest, became a
finalist, got an agent, and a year later signed a
three-book contract with Kensington Books
(actually it was Zebra Books, a Kensington imprint).
