Famous Forest Row Now that we have an office in Forest Row we have been doing a little research into this beautiful part of Sussex and have found out some interesting facts: A little known fact about the small village of Forest Row is that it was once visited by the US President, John F Kennedy. In fact, this visit took place just four months before he was assassinated in November 1963, as he had been invited to the UK by the prime minister at the time, Harold MacMillan who owned a country house in Birch Grove, Chelwood Gate. The reason they visited Forest Row is because it held the nearest Catholic Church. To the south east corner of the village hall is a plaque commemorating the visit.
