My former career as a
marksman meant I worked
outside usually at first and
last light. During those times I
have witnessed some amazing
sunrises and sunsets and
fancied having a go at trying
to photograph them with
something more substantial
than my very out of date not
so smart ‘smartphone’.
So three years ago I decided to purchase
a DSLR camera to try and capture some
of these wonderful sights. With no idea
what I was doing, I would set out with
my camera and more often than not
come home disappointed. At first most
of my photos were poor, not in focus
