For the barges without propulsion , it is about proper planning during the rig move operations , allowing for weather conditions , and the kind and number of tugs used . The self-propelled barge crew and officers are being trained on Maersk Training ’ s Jacking and Rig Move simulators to enhance their manoeuvring skills including the use of tugs . This training will consequently result in smoother handling of propulsion units and tug power , which will in turn influence the carbon footprint in the Oil & Gas industry .

Each year , we conduct a Customer Satisfaction Survey targeting various stakeholders among our customers . This survey aims to gather feedback on our overall course offerings , service quality , and Net Promoter Score . Additionally , after each training session , participants are encouraged to complete a postcourse evaluation survey , providing us with valuable insights into the delivery of that specific course . We consistently review and update our course materials and methods to ensure they meet the highest standards and deliver a positive learning experience for all participants .
10 . Can you share a recent example of how Maersk Training contributed to solving a critical operational or safety challenge on a jack-up rig ?
Many companies in the Oil & Gas Industry are reluctant to promote their senior officers to Master or Chief Engineer ranks on jackups . They would usually rather hire experienced Master and Chief Engineers from other companies . This is so because the existing job scope of senior officers is vastly different from the actual critical roles of vessel handling / manoeuvring and jacking operations . Maersk Training , with its full mission “ Jacking and Rig Move ” simulator , is providing this competency training in critical operations preparing Senior Officers to step up to become Masters and Chief Engineers , take up overall responsibilities , and address safety challenges .
