Chinese Ministry Report
Thanks for God’s grace. He sees there are many Chinese around the Rostrevor Baptist
Church locality who need the Gospel. He placed this vision in Pastor Ian and me.
During 2012 we aligned our vision and put it into action.
On 16 January 2013, God spoke to me,” Rely on faith, not by your eyes. I will prepare
my servants.” It happened. During 16-24 January 2012, I made a trip back to Adelaide to
prepare for the Chinese Ministry and a team of co-workers were there. The first
co-workers’ meeting took place on 21 January. Since then, a weekly Prayer Meeting had
commenced and held regualarly. As a result, the unity took effect. We all witnessed that
God had done a great job during the Alpha Introduction Dinner on 25 March. There
were 6 persons who converted on the third session of Alpha, and 1 was subsequently
baptised.
Thanks to God! The Lord also touched the English Church team. They accepted me when
I brought forward my calling and vision and in the AGM on 1 June it was unanimously
passed that I would become the Chinese pastor of RBC. Thanks to God, the English
church has given unceasing efforts to support and help in many ways to establish the
Chinese ministry.
Mandarin Bible Study class was commenced on 9 May, while the Chinese Sunday Service
was commenced on 26 May, all according to God’s promise and His fulfilment. The
average attendance in the Chinese Sunday Service is now 22-25 persons. However, this
is only the beginning stage and it still requires much hard work to evangelise. We have
few numbers at the moment, but the members work like a family. They encourage,
support and love each other because God is among us.
