RBC Annual Report - 2013 | Page 14

Support Support focuses on walking with those experiencing marginalization to create the better future they see for themselves. The support stream has seen the launch of another new ministry in the C.O.A.C.H community mentoring programme. C.O.A.C.H stands for Creating Opportunity And Casting Hope and seeks to match mentors from within the church congregation with families who are struggling in our wider community. This year saw the raising up and training of Bec Drury as the Coordinator of the C.O.A.C.H programme. It has been wonderful to see how God has prepared the way as we’ve seen Bec’s unique set of gifts and life experience meeting so perfectly with her new role. She has done a great job overseeing the training of fourteen people from within RBC to be mentors in the programme. It is exciting to be able to report that we now have two families being mentored successfully. It is early stages for both but already we are seeing encouraging things happen in the lives of those involved. Bec has done a great job overseeing and managing the whole process. We are looking forward to seeing many more families being supported and cared for through C.O.A.C.H in the coming year.
