While buyers are spending longer researching before making contact, our members continue to report genuine engagement throughout campaigns. Purchasers are arriving better informed, inspections are more purposeful, and conversations are increasingly centred around value rather than speculation.
Together, these trends reinforce what we’ re seeing across the network: a market that is becoming more balanced. Buyers have choice and are taking the time to make informed decisions, while sellers who understand current market conditions continue to achieve strong outcomes. Rather than being driven by urgency or fear of missing out, negotiations are increasingly being supported by good information, realistic expectations and experienced advice.
No one can predict exactly how the remainder of the year will unfold. Interest rates, inflation and global events will continue to shape confidence, just as they always have.
What gives me confidence is what we’ re seeing every day across our network, not just the data. The market is active, buyers remain engaged, and quality property continues to attract genuine interest. When expectations are aligned, transactions continue to happen.
That’ s a positive position for the market to be in as we head into the second half of the year.
