Median prices in both the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast are now well over $ 1 million . Furthermore , Gold Coast is one of the few regions around Australia where price growth is yet to slow .
Looking forward , it ’ s likely growth will moderate , particularly on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast . In some locations however , growth looks set to continue . Many parts of far-north Queensland saw relatively subdued price growth due to slow economic growth through the pandemic . Places like Cairns and Townsville , for example , were impacted by a loss of international tourism and students from interstate and overseas .
