Queensland ’ s population growth improved during the pandemic , partly because lockdowns were less severe but also because when given the choice of living anywhere , many Australians chose nice weather and greater affordability . Add to this strong growth in holiday home demand and for investment properties , it was no surprise that money and people moved to such a degree over the past two years .
