09 emerged from the deepest recession in a century and unemployment remains elevated . Demand for property should be in the doldrums . But it ’ s the total opposite . The RBA wants housing prices and stock markets to gradually rise . Asset price gains deliver the greater wealth and boost confidence , which then feeds into improved spending and sustainable growth . The market keeps rising . So while the regulators remain on the sidelines , there truly has never been a better time to sell . To slow down this market , the regulator may intervene in credit lending criterias or the RBA will raise rates which could unsettle confidence and derail the economic recovery .
As always we remind you the future remains uncertain for many reasons :
• The international border remains shut .
• The number of properties for sale has been steadily increasing over 2021 which creates more choice for buyers .
