Prices are back on the move in Melbourne , increasing by two per cent since December . Interest rates are still rising and we have a lot of people coming off fixed mortgage rates over the next 12 months . But at the same time , Victoria is now seeing the second strongest population growth levels after Queensland , as well as the biggest drop in properties for sale . For now it appears that demand / supply factors are outplaying the increasing cost of finance .
