After a strong February period , monthly listing numbers have fallen across the country in March to just 27,589 in capital cities , representing a 29.4 per cent decrease this month . However , this is just 21.5 per cent down year on year . The greatest reduction came from Canberra - down 38.5 per cent this month - to just 777 listings , followed by Melbourne which reduced 36.4 per cent to 8,337 . Overall annual changes , while down , have held up well across the east coast with Darwin showing the greatest reduction in listing activity over the year .
